Hung Tai Group is a Sabah-based food manufacturing, wholesale and distribution group with roots going back to 1995. From our base at Lok Kawi Industrial Estate in Kinarut, we manufacture, import, and distribute everyday food products, including rice, rice noodles, noodles, sauces, condiments, red bean paste and other consumer essentials, serving customers across Sabah, Labuan, Sarawak and Brunei.
Hung Tai Group comprises three companies, each performing a complementary role within the Group's integrated operations. Hung Tai Enterprise (Sabah) Sdn Bhd manufactures sauces and condiments and undertakes the wholesale and distribution of food products and animal feeds. Kilang Mee Ban Soon Sdn Bhd manufactures red bean paste and noodles. Hung On Thong Mini Supermarket Sdn Bhd imports rice and rice noodles. Together, the companies support an integrated supply chain spanning manufacturing, importing, warehousing and distribution.
For three decades, our name has stood for consistent quality, dependable supply and long-term relationships with wholesalers, retailers, food-service operators and trade partners throughout East Malaysia and Brunei.
In July 2026, Hung Tai Group began a new chapter. Life Water Berhad, a Main Market-listed Sabah consumer group, announced the proposed acquisition of a 90% interest in Hung Tai Group, with completion targeted in the fourth quarter of 2026. Our founding management team continues to lead the business day to day – the same people and the same standards, now with a stronger platform behind us.
